Since my last semi-monthly update, it's been relatively quiet around here.
We all recovered from the flu just in time for allergy season to rear its VERY ugly head, though. With all the rain we've gotten this winter (and are still getting), all the plants and flowers are a-bloomin' now, which makes for some amazing outdoor adventures...while exposing us to all those lovely allergens.
Jojo's been making up for lost time in a major way over the past 6 weeks with his gross motor and speech development. It's getting harder and harder for me to keep up with him, especially now that I'm in my third trimester of pregnancy, which is a fun but exhausting problem to have.
He is officially a WALKER and TALKER now!
We did have a cardiology appointment at the end of March. Nothing major to report there, and it felt like more of a check-in than a check-up, if that makes sense.
As long as nothing changes, we won't have to go back to cardiology until July. There's even a chance we won't end up needing to do a cath later this year after all, which would mean we might be able to go a whole calendar year without any major procedures.
We'll just be cruising on his current medication regimen and feeding plan as long as it keeps working for him. He lost some weight during our February Flu Fiasco, but he's back on track now.
Eric just submitted our tax return (an arduous task that's totally worthy of a celebration, as those of you who are also self-employed can appreciate) and has been trying to get as much work done as possible before the baby gets here. Two months to go!
I can't even believe how close we are to Jojo's 2nd birthday. It was hard enough to imagine him making it to his 1st birthday after a rough first year, and now he's thriving and loving life as a rambunctious toddler.
