We took advantage of the unexpected burst of energy I woke up with this morning and visited the Loma Vista Farm here in Vallejo for the first time.
Jojo is really into animals and the sounds they make lately, so it was awesome for him to get a chance to see so many familiar animals in person. He didn't like getting too close to them, but I think next time he'll be more comfortable about petting and feeding them... and there definitely will be a next time soon!
He was too busy toddling around from one animal pen to the next for me to get many good pictures of him. It's a pretty small farm, so I was surprised by how much there was for him to see and do. There's even a small pond, with a bunch of baby ducks swimming around!
The farm is open to the public Monday through Friday from 9am - 2:30pm. There was a pretty large group of kids there on a field trip this morning, so it got a little crowded, but I can't even complain when admission is totally free.
They also have a plant sale in their greenhouse ($3 for small pots, #6 for large pots). I'll have to bring cash next time -- I've been meaning to do a little garden project with Jojo, and it would be an added bonus to support the farm at the same time.
